MEET KASEY ROWE
USDF Bronze, Silver, & Gold Medalist | Founder & Head Trainer
An accomplished competitor, dedicated educator, and lifelong student of the horse, Kasey Rowe has spent over two decades mastering the nuances of classical dressage. As a USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medalist, Kasey’s career is defined by her ability to develop horses correctly and sympathetically from their very first steps all the way through the demanding movements of the FEI arena.
Kasey’s journey in the sport is anchored by a deep education under some of the industry’s most respected classical masters and modern sport horse tacticians. This rigorous background gave her a profound understanding of equine biomechanics, rider psychology, and the absolute necessity of a patient, systematic approach to the training scale.
The Foundation: A Lifelong Obsession with the Sport
Dressage isn’t just a career for Kasey; it is quite literally woven into her DNA. Growing up in Chatsworth, California, she was fully immersed in the horse world from day one. As the daughter of accomplished dressage trainer Kym Frazier, Kasey’s childhood was one big, hands-on masterclass in horsemanship. The obsession took hold early—she even went so far as to engineer a makeshift "seat belt" just to stay aboard her wild pony, a stubborn streak of determination that still serves her well in the training ring today.
Her formal education began in the United States Pony Club, which drilled in the rock-solid foundations of stable management, grit, and deep horsemanship across multiple disciplines. But it was her very first official dressage lesson at eight years old with the legendary Hilda Gurney that sealed the deal. Kasey fell head over heels for the precision, the harmony, and the challenge of the sport, and she never looked back.
Combining Horse Sense with Business Sense
Even while earning her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Chapman University, Kasey couldn’t stay away from the sandbox—she brought her horse along to school with her, balancing full-time classes with daily barn life. She wanted to ensure that when she ultimately launched her own training program, she could back up her horsemanship with real operational structure.
The Path to Gold
In 2011, looking to take her riding to the highest level, Kasey began traveling to San Diego for monthly training sessions with Laurie Falvo. That dedication quickly turned into a 12-year partnership, with Kasey stepping in as Laurie's assistant trainer. Over a decade in the trenches together allowed Kasey to truly master the art of developing a horse. During this time, she successfully brought numerous horses—both her own and clients'—from the absolute basics of Training Level all the way to the Grand Prix, earning her USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals along the way.
A Synthesis of Master Methods
Kasey believes that a true horsewoman never stops learning. Her training system is a beautiful synthesis of some of the most respected eyes in the equestrian world. She has had the privilege of training with legends like Steffen Peters, Niki Clarke, Jane Weatherwax, and Juan Matute.
To keep her skills sharp and her system evolving, Kasey stays in regular, intensive training today with world-class masters Kathleen Raine, Sabine Schut-Kerry, and Anne Gribbons. This relentless commitment to her own education means that every horse and rider on her roster benefits from a training system that is deeply rooted in classical tradition, yet finely tuned for the modern show ring.
